Beginning on the second Saturday of October, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce will host its annual World Championship Gumbo Cook-off. Taking over historical downtown Main Street, the two-day event features locals and visitors coming together to celebrate Cajun cuisine and music. The main event happens Sunday, with 100 teams competing to call themselves “champion” with the best gumbo in the world.
